DROP FIT INSTALLATION
When installing your new lens, always use protective gloves and safety glasses
The mirror lens is bonded to the inner backing plate which is mounted inside the mirror housing.
1) Remove broken lens from the plastic backing plate.
2) Once broken lens is removed clean the plastic backing plate with rubbing
alcohol and clean the back of the replacement lens with appropriate glass cleaner.
3) Apply the adhesive buttons to either the back of the replacement lens or the plastic backing plate along with any liquid adhesive (urethane or silicone).
4) Compress replacement lens to the plastic backing plate.
5) Clean the replacement lens with appropriate glass cleaner.
ELECTROCHROMIC FIT OVER INSTALLATION
When installing your new lens, always use protective gloves and safety glasses
The mirror lens is enclosed or affixed to the inner backing plate which is mounted inside the mirror housing.
1) It is important that the broken lens remain affixed to the backing plate, however, any loose pieces of mirror should be carefully removed.
2) Test fit the new lens in the opening to ensure proper alignment of lens.
3) Very carefully clean the surface of the broken lens with a good quality glass cleaner.
4) Apply adhesive buttons to the back of the replacement lens and fit into place over the broken lens. If using a liquid adhesive (urethane or silicone), apply to the broken lens and fit replacement lens over the broken lens.
5) Clean replacement lens with appropriate glass cleaner.
Please note that fit-over parts eliminate the self-dimming feature of the OEM mirror. However, the heating element should remain functional.
GASKET INSTALLATION
When installing your new lens, always use protective gloves and safety glasses
The mirror lens is mounted into the mirror housing using a gasket that surrounds the perimeter of the lens. This would include West Coast Style mirrors for large truck bodies and Semi-truck chassis.
1) Remove the Gasket along with the broken mirror from the housing by use
of a fiber stick or other like tool. The West Coast Style mirrors may require removal of the mirror housing and framing screw first
2) Clean and remove all mirror fragments that remained in the gasket groove and reinstall the gasket around your new replacement lens.
3) Lubricate the gasket by applying a glass cleaner or similar liquid for ease of installation into the housing
4) Gently push the assembled mirror and gasket into the mirror housing.
5) Clean the installed lens with an approved glass cleaner
HEATED REPLACEMENT LENS INSTALLATION
When installing your new lens, always use protective gloves and safety glasses
The mirror lens is bonded to the inner backing plate which is mounted inside the mirror housing.
1) Remove broken lens from the plastic backing plate. Then disconnect old terminal leads from existing heating element.
2) Once broken lens is removed clean the plastic backing plate with rubbing
alcohol and clean the back of the replacement lens with appropriate glass cleaner.
3) Apply the adhesive buttons to either the back of the replacement lens or the plastic backing plate along with any liquid adhesive (urethane or silicone).
4) Reconnect terminal leads to leads on the new lens.
5) Compress replacement lens to the plastic backing plate.
6) Clean the replacement lens with appropriate glass cleaner.
INSIDE SNAP RING INSTALLATION

Installation instructions for replacement lens to fit inside then snap ring.
1) Do not remove the broken lens. Leave mirror attached to the backing plate, however, any loose pieces of mirror should be removed.
2) Test fit the mirror lens in the opening to ensure fit.
3) Cautiously clean the broken mirror lens surface with an appropriate glass cleaner.
4) Apply adhesive buttons to the back of the replacement lens and fit into place over the broken lens. If using a liquid adhesive (urethane or silicone), apply to the broken lens and fit replacement lens over the broken lens.
5) Clean replacement lens with appropriate glass cleaner.
UNDER SNAP RING INSTALLATION
When installing your new lens, always use protective gloves and safety glasses
This installation process is if the replacement lens is designed to fit under the snap ring.
1) Remove the broken lens by breaking it out and removing all pieces of the lens. Be cautious when breaking out the lens. To insure safe removal, it would be good to cover the mirror head with cloth to protect against flying pieces of mirror.
2) Remove the snap ring from the mirror housing, taking extra care not to damage the housing or the snap ring. It would be best to use a putty knife or similar tool to remove the ring. Removal works best if used from the inside edge of the mirror housing.
3) Apply adhesive (urethane or silicone) to the mirror housing tabs and install the new replacement lens. Also, apply adhesive to the snap ring and clamp assembly until adhesive cures.
4) Clean the new lens with an appropriate glass cleaner.
